OptiCore, a KOSDAQ-listed 'optical transceiver' manufacturer, expands new business and diversifies customers

Opticore (CEO Jin Jae-hyun), a manufacturer of 'optical transceiver', a key component of 5G mobile communication, went public on the KOSDAQ market on the 29th.
Opticore, which has optical communication light source (laser diode) technology, develops, produces, and sells optical transceivers and optical multiplexing devices essential for building communication networks. The company, which recorded sales of 33.35251 billion won last year, is securing leading domestic and foreign telecommunications operators, including SK Telecom, as partners.
As major telecommunications operators start to upgrade their 5G communication networks from the end of 2022, Opticore is focusing on improving product quality and price competitiveness. Through product stability and reliability tests in accordance with international standards, the product defect rate has been reduced to the lowest level in the industry, and the production cost has been lowered by internalizing the source technology, light source technology.
Opticore CEO Jin Jae-hyun said, "Based on Opticore's technology and KOSDAQ listing history, we will expand new businesses and achieve diversification of customers. We will continue to show Opticore growing steadily."
Opticore has plans to 'entry into a new application business for optical fiber sensing using original technology' and 'establish a local sales network to enter the North American market’.
